Top 5 Reasons why you should try saving money grocery shopping.
1. You have a large family.
A large family such as mine makes for a very expensive trip tip the grocery store. There are five kids, my wife and me.
Believe it or not, but we go through four gallons of milk, four boxes of cereal, two loafs of bread, half a bag of flour, bag of sugar , and a large can of coffee and creamer a week. That is just the basics.
We also have to buy meat and veggies for meals, fruits, cheese, snacks for kids, lunch stuff, and I'm sure like you, the list goes on.
If we don’t watch what we are doing we could easily spend $200.00 a week on groceries. If your family is anything like mine you should study the pages on this site, especially the Saving on Groceries, Save on Groceries, Cheap Recipes, and Frugal Recipes sections of this site.
2. You don’t have a large family.
Ok you don’t have a large family. You are either single or married with no children you still need to try saving money grocery shopping. Odds are if you are single or just married you like your weekends out on the town. You probably like shopping, and I am sure you enjoy those occasional out of town trips.
These are all reasons why you should watch your pennies at the local food market.
3. You get nauseated when the cashier gives you your total.
First of all, now you've got to turn around and get some nausea medicine, and make another trip through the line. Let's get that grocery bill down so you will not be ailing anymore.
4. Your grocery bill is higher than your mortgage payment.
This can be a real problem. It puts new meaning to being eaten out of house and home.
5. Your children have to choose between sports or food.
This isn’t a hard decision, your children come first, and if they don’t eat they wouldn’t have the energy or be in good enough help to play sports. If you do or ever have found yourself in the position you know how badly it makes you feel. You are not a bad parent you just need to step it up, put your big girl panties on again and get started.
