Saving Extra Money
Saving Extra Money is not always an easy task, as a mater of fact it can be almost impossible for some people.
Extra money seems to have a universal effect on people across the globe. What is it? Well, it seems to burn a whole in everyone's pockets.
Most of us have so many responsibilities like families, jobs, mortgages, and bills, if we manage to come across extra money, saving it is the last thing on our minds. Most people either want to pay something down or just flat out blow it because they can.
The first scenario, paying your bills down is perfectly fine, wise even. The second, however, is impulsive. I will not tell you that what you do with your money is wrong, because I am not your judge, but I will always give my opinion.
My opinion is that if you are reading this then you are ready to make a change and start saving extra money, so with that being said here are a few out of the box suggestions.
Spend it on your house. Yep! Your home (if owned) is the biggest investment you will ever make. Any home improvements you do to your home will raise its value normally by more than you actually spend on repairs.
Freeze it! Take the cash put it in a water tight freezer bag, place it in a bowl of water and stick it in your freezer. If you have a sudden spending temptation you will have to wait on the money to thaw and maybe by then you will have come to your senses and change your mind.
Bury it! Burying money has worked for thousands of years. Nothing is more secure than hiding your money in a big dirt filled hole. Just don’t forget where you buried it. Oh, and make sure you place your money in a container that will be able to with stand mother nature and time.
Convert it. Spend your money on money. Buy rare cash and coins there value will grow over the years, and you can sell or auction your new little hobby when you need to access your cash.
Most people don’t think of saving extra money in this way but with today's unstable economy and fear of losing it all to the stock market these are five simple ways to start saving money, and don’t worry you can always upgrade to savings accounts, IRA’s and many other avenues for your money once you are in the habit of saving.
