Pros & Cons of Living on A Budget

Living on a budget is no different than any other major decisions in your life, you must weight the pros and cons before making a final decision.

Please study over this page and make a permanent decision before moving forward. This is a choice you must stick with, and that you will need to incorporate into your lifestyle.

Living on a Budget Pro's

- You save money!

- Your finances stay organized, and you will be able to pin point where every dime you earn goes.

- You will figure out your spending weakness and learn to improve them.

- It will make it easier to plan for the future. You can plan for college funds, retirement, vacations, emergencies, and all those other important needs that require saving money.

- Once you implement a budget, consult your budget balance periodically, and there will be no more overdrafts or late payments.

- You will know ahead of time what major purchases you can actually afford. This will keep you from getting in over your head.

- Making a budget will eliminate worry over whether you’re going to get the bills paid each month. It will be right there in black and white. As long as you stick with it, you can stop stressing because you know everything will get paid.

- It improves communication in marriages. Your spouse can look over the budget and know where the money is going anytime they feel like it. This is especially helpful if your spouse, and you fight over who spent what and where.

Living on a Budget Con's

- All habits are made and broken in 28 days. This will be no different. Budgeting takes some work and will power, but I know you can do it! I believe in you.

- If you realize a weakness in your spending you may have to shift your priorities slightly in order to get your finances back on track. This sometimes means cutting back on things you love but not really need. Examples: Dinning out, Cable TV, Subscriptions. Etc.

- You don't always get what you want, but you will get what you need.

This is a process. It will take time and effort to work, but I promise after a few months of consistent budgeting you will never want to return to the old way again.
