Read these tips and please feel free to share yours. We could all use a little help saving money.
1. Make a Menu. If you make a weekly or monthly menu you get in the habit of buying the same food every month. Once you know what you're buying you automatically start searching for sales and deals on that food which saves money.

3. Grow some food. It's not as hard as you may think, and I’m not asking you to plant a field full of veggies. A few of your favorite, and the most used vegetables, or herb plants in pots on your patio, or in your kitchen window can save money. It's also a really fun thing to do with your kids.
4. Pack a lunch. It's much cheaper to pack a sandwich rather than to buy one in a drive-through window and the savings really start to add up if done daily.
This is one of the hardest grocery saving tips that people deal with, but I promise the extra time it takes to pack a lunch will more than pay for itself.
5. Send the kids lunch and snack to school instead of purchasing it. When we were covering the free budget plan with the Shmoe family, studying On the
free budget plan
we learned that the Shmoes were spending $124.00 a month on lunch and snack for their children. With $124.00 you can easily buy your children the same things they're getting at school for a lot less money.
6. Buy in Bulk. Buying in bulk is cheaper, and you don't make as many trips to the grocery store so buying bulk saves grocery money and gas money.
7.

8. Invest in the best! Buy good quality freezer bags, especially if your buying in bulk. Saving money on food at the store does you no good if you have to toss it out in a month because of the freezer burn.
9. Freeze it. Take your leftovers and freeze them, then once a week have a left over night. It ensures no food is wasted and saves you time in the kitchen. Spread the left over’s out on the kitchen counter, ring the dinner bell and yell Buffet!
